Why Bullying Starts
Bullying starts when someone (usually a child or teen) has been or has grown into the behavior of a bully decides that they want to show who is the boss, and who has the power. Once the cycle starts there is a few ways it could end.
1. The child tells an adult and the situation is solved
2. The child becomes a bully themself (starting the cycle on someone else)
Number One is a rare thing, Statistics say that adults are only told in a third of cases. This is because the child may feel helpless, fear isolation and social rejection, backlash from the child who bullied them. Bulling can make someone feel helpless and want to solve it on thier own. Sometimes they fear humiliation and that adults will see them as weak.
Number Two, if the child feels that becoming a bully is the only way to solve the problem, or start adopting the traits of a bully in order to feel dominate once more.
