Bullying is agressive behavior typically found in school age children. Usually after a bullying routine is established, the behavior in the situation is repeated. The most common types of bullying are verbal, social, and physical. Cyberbulling is becoming more common with technology today.
Bullying occurs whenever and wherever. It happens on the way to school, during, and after school. It happens on the playground,the bus, the classrooms,and in the neighborhood.Power Imbalances like popularity,access to information, and physical power are used to control or harm the target. Power Imbalances shift and change as different situations occur even when the same people are involved. Depending on how the bullying is done, it could even be on the internet using social networking sites. Sites like Twitter, Facebook,and Tumblr can be used to say harsh things about a person with or without them knowing until later on. Children who bully can also threaten, and abuse the child being targeted through e-mail and texts.
This issue needs to be solved because it can have emotional,and physical effects. Things like self-harm, and in extreme cases suicide are the outcomes., .
